New game.

If you're bored, you can play this game.

You start with a line from a song. Any song. Like this line from "Believe" :

"You have everything you need, if you just believe."

Then the point is to start with that line and work your way through a bunch of other songs until you loop back to the beginning of the line. You do this by connecting words that the songs have in common. If that sounds confusing, it's really not, but I'll give you an example to show you how it's done (the capitalized words are where both one song/line ends and another begins):

You have everything you need if you just BELIEVE my HEART no matter what THEY SAY we've got nothing in common, no common ground to STAND up, stand up, for Jesus, ye soldiers of the CROSSed the green MOUNTAIN, over the hills and EVERYWHERE we go that's where the party's AT the bar is a friend of mine, he gets me my drinks for FREE to run, I am free to DANCEs, in and out of the crowd, like a glance, this ROMANCE IS, I haven't been there for the longest TIME after time if you fall i will catch YOU have everything you need if you just believe.

So you see in that example I had twelve songs: "Believe," "I Believe My Heart," "You'll Be in My Heart," "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "Stand Up, Stand Up, for Jesus," "Crossed the Green Mountain," "Go Tell it on the Mountain," "Go," "Piano Man," "So She Dances," "Longest Time," and "Time After Time." (Some of those were kind of lame transitions, but I didn't feel like spending a lot of time on this. You get the idea.)

Ways to have fun playing this game:
*You could play this game by yourself when you're bored
*For a challenge, you could set a certain number of songs to get through before you get back to the original line (e.g., exactly 10 songs, or 20, or 300...)
*You could try to have a friend identify all the songs
*You could play with a friend (or more than one friend, like on a road trip): you think of a line, they think of a line, you think of a line... etc.
*To make it more challenging, try thinking of a line that starts with two or three of the words that the last line ended with, instead of just one
*Write out a secret coded message and then find songs that connect to those words. Then send it to a friend who could translate it.

we used to play a lazier version of this game in which one person would arbitrarily pick a word from the dictionary, and somebody else would have to start singing a song that contained that word. whoever could think of a song first won.

your version is much more creative. heehee.
